My background and how I got into UX

I have always been a creative person, curious about exploring, solving problems, and finding new ways to build and improve things.

During high school, I developed an interest in marketing, which grew stronger when I started my own jewelry company through the UF program that I also got a entrepreneurship Scholarship for. That was the first time I designed marketing materials and built a website. In that moment I realized how much I enjoyed working with design and digital creation.

This interest led me to the Digital Design and Innovation program at Halmstad University, where I am currently studying. Choosing this education is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It has given me the chance to combine my creativity with problem-solving in a meaningful way everyday.

I was drawn specifically to UX because it combines the analytical side of understanding users and systems with the creative challenge of designing intuitive and visually engaging solutions. I enjoy that UX processes can take many different forms and that there are always new angles to explore.

Me as a designer

I care about solving real problems and making everyday interactions easier. Good design should help people and support the business at the same time. What motivates me most is seeing work move from insight to something people actually use and value. That’s what keeps me learning and improving.

I enjoy the full process: research, sketching, prototyping, and testing. I love working in teams, collaborating, and learning from people with different perspectives and strengths. That’s where ideas get sharper and solutions get better.

My strengths

UX methods & research: Interviews and user testing, quantitative and qualitative analysis, journey mapping and heuristic evaluation.

Design & prototyping: Figma, wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and Balsamiq.

Problem solving & analysis: Identifying and improving user flows, finding friction and pain points and proposing solutions.

Programming knowledge: I also have some basic programming knowledge, HTML, CSS, and Java, which makes it easier for me to work with developers and communicate my design ideas clearly.

Project work: Experienced in both team-based and independent projects, including planning, prototyping, user testing, and presenting results.

Special interests: AI in design, inclusive and accessible UX.

Internships/freelance projects

Oican - UX design intern
On my own initiative, alongside my studies, I took on an internship at Oican where I´m currently improving their webshop through a UX focused project. The goal is to identify and remove potential pain points, and  create consistency and enhancing the overall shopping experience. So far I have done an expert review, identified key pain points, and validated them with client feedback and customer data from a survey and user behaviour tool (Hotjar).

Fina frön - UX designer
Besides my studies, I´v also taken on a freelance project to redesign an e-commerce website for Fina frön. Fina frön is a small company that creates beautiful handmade children’s clothing inspired by the wilderness. The goal is to improve the overall user experience and interface of their website, making it easier for visitors to browse products, learn about the brand, and make purchases without friction. So far I have went through with an expert review and distributed a survey to the users about their experience of the website.
